Why is my Blomberg condenser tumbler dryer leaking?
If your Blomberg condenser tumble dryer is leaking, here are several potential causes and solutions:
Full Water Tank: The most common cause of leaks in a condenser dryer is an overfilled water tank. To prevent this, make sure to empty the water tank after each use. If the tank is full or not properly inserted, it can lead to water leakage. ??
Blocked or Dirty Condenser Unit: The condenser unit can become clogged with lint or debris, leading to water leakage. The condenser is located on the bottom left of the appliance and should be cleaned after approximately 30 uses or every month. After cleaning, make sure the red clips on the condenser are turned to the lock position when reinserted to prevent leaks.
Improper Installation: If the dryer is not level or is improperly installed, it might cause water to leak. Ensure that your dryer is placed on a level surface and that all connections are secure.
Hose Issues: Some models have a hose for draining water. Check the hose for any damage, disconnections, or incorrect positioning, as these issues can lead to leaks. Inspect the hose and make sure it is properly connected and in good condition.
Faulty Door Seal: A damaged or misaligned door seal can allow water to escape. Examine the door seal for any cracks or wear and ensure it is properly seated to prevent leaks.
Internal Component Problems: If none of the above issues are apparent, there could be a problem with internal components such as the pump or connections.
If you cannot identify or resolve the issue yourself, please contact Blomberg’s customer care team. Our expert support team can offer guidance and arrange for technical assistance if necessary to address and fix the leak.
