Is it normal for my new cooker to have a strong smell?

It is normal for your new Blomberg cooker to have a strong smell when you first use it. This smell is usually caused by the burning off of protective coatings and any residue left over from the manufacturing process. To reduce the smell:

    • Preheat the oven: Before cooking for the first time, turn the oven on to a high temperature (around 250°C) and leave it empty for about 30 minutes to an hour.
    • Ventilate the kitchen: Make sure the room is well-ventilated by opening windows or turning on an extractor fan to help clear the smell.
    • Clean the oven: You can also wipe down the inside of the oven with a damp cloth and mild detergent before use.

The smell should dissipate after a few uses. If it persists, check your user manual for additional instructions or contact our Customer Care team.
