Water from my Blomberg washer dryer is not emptying, what should I do?

If water from your Blomberg washer dryer is not emptying, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

    Check the Drain Hose:

    • Ensure the drain hose is not kinked, twisted, or crushed.
    • If the hose has been extended, verify that it does not exceed the maximum length specified in the instruction manual. If you’ve misplaced your manual, you can download it here.

    Clean the Pump Filter:

    • Locate the pump filter on the bottom right-hand side of the appliance.
    • Open the filter housing slowly to manage the release of water. Use a container to catch any overflow.
    • If your washer dryer has a drain tube, use it to drain water from the drum first.
    • Remove the filter and rinse it under running water to remove any debris.
    • After cleaning, replace the filter securely and ensure the filter cover is properly closed.

    Inspect the Drain Pump:

    • Listen for any unusual noises from the drain pump.
    • Check for visible blockages around the pump area.
    • Remove any debris that may be obstructing the pump. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the mains electricity before removing any obstructions from the pump.

    Check for Blockages:

    • Inspect the drain pipe or standpipe for any blockages.
    • Ensure that these are clear to allow proper water flow.

    Run a Drain Cycle:

    • After performing the above checks and cleaning, run a drain cycle on your washer dryer. This will help to ensure that any remaining water is pumped out and that the appliance is functioning correctly.

By following these steps, you can address common issues that might prevent your washer dryer from draining properly. If the problem persists, contact Blomberg’s customer care team for further assistance.
